Mr. Otto Binder
Mr. M. Singer
Otto: An extraordinary thing has occurred, which I want you to know about immediately. As well as Mr. Singer. Enclosed is a letter which is self-explanatory. It is very valuable to me, and you can return it whenever you are able.
Now...you recall some months ago...that I notified you that the SI's would actually "broadcast" all over the U.S., from their craft, in the way that they have...in order to subtly force people to buy Saga when it came out with our story? Matter of fact, Mr. Singer sent me an advance copy so that I could telepathize the cover to the SI's...so that they in turn could telepathize it, with an order to get it, to the American people everywhere.
I just received a letter from a man I've never heard of. Mr. Avram Davidson, 2 Wootton Road, Essex Fells, New Jersey, 07021. In the letter Mr. Davidson (1) says that he was mentally forced into going and looking for Saga and buying it...with our story in it, and (2) he was then forced to notify me about it.
What this means...is that the SI's actually had him do this...in order to notify me, and you, and Mr. Singer...that they were cooperating with us!
He begins by talking about reading my book...then, "Then I started getting a desire to read this months SAGA magazine. I found myself canvasing stores I never went into before looking for this months SAGA. Sort of getting mugged into buying the magazine. Naturally this issue started with an interview with you...I might add that I have been thinking of writing to you for some time but never until now got around to it." He goes on and ends with: "Well sir my question is this, are the SI in some manner desiring me to contact you? I realize that this is virtually stupid of me, as well as damn egotistical, but I was wondering if they were after me to write to you? I'm sorry if I have wasted your time with this letter, but something inside of me was sort of pestaring me to do it."
And there you have it. One of the most amazing things I've ever encountered! Of course he would have no way of knowing of the arrangement I'd set up...to get an advance copy...to broadcast the suggestion through the SI's, etc. Do you agree on this?
